François Linke (1855-1946) is a French cabinetmaker of Czech origin. He joined Paris in 1875 and created his own workshop in 1881 at 70 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Taking the style of the 18th century while bringing them up to date, he produces quality furniture. He received the gold medal from the Jury in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition for his large desk and his chair made in collaboration with Léon Messagé.
The influence of the Regency and Rococo styles mingles with the forms and fluidity of Art Nouveau. He will open a showroom at Place Vendôme and his success will grow until the Second World War.

François Linke (1855-1946) est un ébéniste français d'origine tchèque. Il rejoint Paris en 1875 et crée son propre atelier en 1881 au 70 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Reprenant les style du XVIIIème siècle tout en les mettant au goût du jour, il produit des meubles de qualité. Il reçoit la médaille d'or du Jury en 1900 lors de l'Exposition universelle pour son grand bureau et son fauteuil exécutés en collaboration avec Léon Messagé.
L'influence des styles Régence et Rococo se mêle aux formes et à la fluidité de l'Art Nouveau. Il ouvrira un showroom Place Vendôme et son succès sera grandissant jusqu'à la Seconde Guerre Mondiale.
