A Gold Wedding Ring, probably 19th century
with gold filigree bosses and Mazel Tov plaque, probably Italian
Sotheby's, New York, 25 November 1981, lot 85.
This piece, or a very similar one is found in Jay Weinstein, A Collector’s Guide to Judaica, London: Thames & Hudson, 1985, p. 198 and 200, illustrated plate XXIV, where it is listed as 17th century.
The inscription is an acronym for “mazel tov.”
