A Silver and Gold Esther Scroll Case, probably North African, mid 20th century
Tik form, chased with panels of birds and foliage, applied with similarly engraved gold bands, detachable gold finials, fitted with an Esther Scroll, ink on parchment
Height 9½in. (24 cm)
The Megillah inside is a Scroll of Esther written in Ashkenazic script on nine columns (over two membranes), with 44 lines to a column.
