oval, partly enameled in pale blue and white with emblems of love-crossed quivers and torches, pairs of doves, butterflies and ribbon-tied festoons of flowers, the cover with a chased four-color gold scene of cupid on a pedestal crowning a seated girl in a classical landscape with love tokens on sable ground, the base with similar scene on blue enameled ground, the interior engraved on cover and base with initial B, also engraved with script initials MLC, in later leather case stamped Tiffany & Co. New York, Paris, London
