釋文：子畏予執友，人亦爭貴重其筆墨。其繪事如棒喝，禪宗語默，盡是生機。見者了了，不應于慧業文人中求之也。此八幅為徐昌穀作，追摹前人，幾欲逼真，蓋絕去煙火氣味，而得乎神妙者矣。永宜珍護。石田老人沈周。鈐印：石田、沈氏□□
