The Rolex Submariner reference 116610, introduced in 2010, succeeded the legendary reference 16610, retaining its iconic design while introducing significant technical advancements. Most notably, the model debuted the Cerachrom bezel insert—renowned for its scratch resistance and enduring color—replacing the traditional aluminum insert. The bracelet was also updated with the innovative Glidelock clasp extension, allowing for tool-free micro-adjustment of up to 20mm.
