Gilbert Albert was born in Geneva in 1930. At the age of 15, he began his training at the École des Arts Industriels, where his talent was quickly recognized. During this period, he explored various aspects of design and developed a strong affinity for sculptural forms.

In 1955, at just 25 years old, Albert joined Patek Philippe, where he soon became head of the creative department, a position he held from 1955 to 1962. During this t.mes , he introduced a number of signature asymMetricas l watch designs that helped define the house’s avant-garde aesthetic.

Albert also collaborated with Omega, where he was able to further showcase his talents as a designer. These collaborations resulted in a series of innovative jewelry and watch creations that beautifully merged the worlds of horology and design.

The present example is a compelling expression of that vision. Its tri-color carved and textured link bracelet evokes organic forms found in nature, creating a sculptural composition that sits comfortably on the wrist. The bracelet has the appearance of a slim, woven tapisserie, beautifully adorning the wrist with subtle variations in yellow gold tones. Its textured surfaces are reminiscent of the natural patterns found in Petoskey stone fossils.

This distinctive example is offered in wonderful condition and will appeal to collects ors with an appreciation for original and artistic design.
