Founded in 2012, HYT is a daring independent manufacture that has risen to the spotlight of the watch world thanks to an unusual use of bellows-driven fluid mechanics to display retrograde hours on the outermost portion of its dials. Recognized officially by the watch community, the brand’s very first creation, the H1, was awarded the Innovation Watch Prize at the 2012 GPHG.
The SOONOW Green Fluid is a variant of the H0 produced in a limited edition of 25 pieces. The name and overall design inspiration come from the idea of memento mori, a Latin phrase translating to “remember you must die,” and aims to remind us to make the most of now, as we will be gone soon. A running seconds disc rotates within the nine o’clock eye while the brand’s signature fluid depicts the hours along the edge of the central skull motif.
