The stark and abstract figure is known as the xantil type, best seen in the seated effigy censors of xantiles representing an aspect of the deity Xochipilli ( ‘Flower Prince’). The broad headdress with a feather projecting and modified medallions on the side are part of the costume, complimented but the blue painted bib and wristbands.
