With a silver print portrait of Ernest Hemingway (image: 276 x 215 mm; sheet: 358 x 278 mm), signed by Karsh at lower left margin. Housed together in a black cloth clamshell case. In the original cardboard packaging, stamped "Archive Copy" and addressed to the New York Graphic Society.

First edition, copy 222/300 of the deluxe edition, signed by Karsh on the colophon, with a portrait of Ernest Hemingway. The deluxe edition was issued with one of four possible portraits: Hemingway, Winston Churchill, Georgia O'Keefe, or Pablo Casals.
