the rounded sides of the box carved in high relief with blossoming peony scroll between a keyfret band above and a straight foot below, the domed cover centered with a phoenix roundel, the fantastic bird in profile with its long neck elegantly outstretched and the wings and tail feathers sweeping around to complete the circle, all wreathed by peony scroll enveloping the sides and a keyfret band at the rim, the stone pale green with icy inclusions, wood stand. 3 pieces.
