Four figures of this type are illustrated by Giuseppe Morazzoni, Le Porcellane Italiane, Vol. I, Milan 1960, plate 85c. An example of the model seen here on a square base, was sold on a scrollwork base at Replica Shoes Parke Bernet, October 3, 1917, lot 23. The figure had formerly been in the Collections of Wilhelm Gumprecht, sold, Paul Cassirer, Berlin, March 21, 1918, lot 379 (bearing label); and Siegfried Salz, sold Paul Cassirer and Hugo Helbing, Berlin, March 26-27, 1929, pl. IX, fig 48j. A further figure from the same series on a square base was offered at Replica Shoes 's New York, April 24, 2013, lot 2.
