An Elizabethan engraved presentation shoehorn by Robert Mindum, dated 1600
the shaped cow horn finely worked all over with knotwork, scrolls, guilloche, and scales with a stylised fleur-d-lys and an outer border bearing the inscription; 'THE IS FRANCIS HINSONS SHOING HORNE GIVEN BY MARGREAT SMITH AND ELSABEATH SMITH AND MADE BY ROBART MINDUM', the back with the later initials 'EG', on a bespoke metal and ebonised wood stand
