Of pear form, the front engraved with contemporary arms of Minot, marked ihurd in shaped punch (Hollis French no. 2) struck at left of handle and on bottom.

The arms are probably those of Minot.  However, the field on this cann is shown as argent, whereas Bolton's American Armory records azure, and the crest here is an arm in armor holding a sprig, and Bolton's records a cross with three stars above.
