Named after the year Tudor introduced its first 200-meter water-resistant dive watch, the Black Bay 58 pays homage to the brand’s rich heritage in tool watches. With a 39mm case, a nod to the proportions of 1950s-era divers, it combines vintage aesthetics with modern engineering. Notable details include the ‘lollipop’ seconds hand, evoking the look of Tudor’s earliest dive models.
At its core is the manufacture caliber MT5402, offering a robust 70-hour power reserve. Designed for durability and accuracy, the movement is COSC-certified and exceeds the standards set by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.
This particular example bears an engraving of the Commandement des Opérations Spéciales (COS), France’s Special Operations Command. Formed on June 24, 1992, following France’s experience in the First Gulf War, the COS unifies the special forces of the French Army, Navy, and Air and Space Force under a single command, reporting directly to the Chief of Defense Staff and the President of the Republic.
Offered in very good condition, this watch presents a rare opportunity to acquire a historically significant piece issued to a member of France’s elite Special Operations Command.
