Rolex celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Submariner in 2003 with the launch of a special variant of the reference 16610. The reference 16610LV, LV standing for Lunette Verte, meaning Green Bezel, differs from the conventional model in its bezel color and was quickly nicknamed 'Kermit' by Rolex collectors.
After only 7 years, the 16610LV was eventually discontinued and replaced by the Hulk. Since then, the appeal and collectability of the neo-vintage Kermit has been continuously growing, making this well-preserved piece particularly attractive.
