A FRENCH ART DECO LAPIS LAZULI, 18 KARAT GOLD, AND DIAMOND CIGARETTE CASE, STRAUSS, ALLARD & MEYER, PROBABLY RETAILED BY CARTIER, PARIS, CIRCA 1930
the carved lapis lazuli sides set with gold plaques of stylized flowers and with borders of diamonds, the cover with diamond monogram EO, the push thumbpiece formed as the disc of the flowerhead, with suede slip-case stamped Cartier
marked inside base and cover, cover rim stamped 7159

This box is by Strauss, Allard & Meyer, Paris, circa 1930, probably retailed by Cartier but it is not signed Cartier. It is stamped number 7159 on the rim of the cover, and is in a suede slip-case stamped Cartier.
