• Movement: slim damascened nickel, lever escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, 19 jewels, top plate numbered under the dial 21611, signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc.
• Dial: silvered engine turned dial, high sheen satin finished chapter ring with Arabic numeral 5-minute markers, outer minute ring, blued steel moon hands, signed Cartier France
• Case: onyx case with chamfered bezels, black enamel bezel with gold Roman numerals interspersed with flowerheads, gold milled borders, platinum pendant and bow with hand stamped numbers 037 54 and 3861, inner ring for securing movement to case numbered 15789

The 1920s was an exciting time for Cartier, with many experiments with both the form of watches and the very fabric that was used to make them. Platinum, onyx and jade were strikingly used by Cartier throughout this period, clearly demonstrating the fascination for China and Japan at the time.
