• Movement: Swiss damascened nickel bar lever movement, 32 jewels, bi-metallic balance, two polished hammers striking on a gong
• Dial: silver engine turned dial with black Roman numerals, gilt foliate decoration to the centre and outside edge, subsidiary seconds
• Case: gold engine-turned, the back engraved with the coat of arms of Ecuador dated 1860, twenty dollar coin inset on the front, engraved cuvette signed L. Maulme, Horloger Guayaquil, with Swiss hallmarks and numbered 129757, 33921
