each a woodblock print, sumizuri-e, and comprising:

- Upali, Master of Vinaya, the Monastic Rules (Ubari no saku), from the series The Ten Great Disciples of the Buddha (Shaka judai deshi), sealed Muna Shiko and with a further seal

- Kanji (Kanji no saku)brushed with sumi ink to the back of the print, from the series The Twelve Guardian Gods of Art (In Homage to Shoji Hamada) (Sayadosho, tanikyo hanga no saku), sealed Muna, circa 1950, framed and glazed; with woodblock printed certificate of authenticity (kanteisho) by the artist's sonMunakata Pariji (1934-1998), hand-numbered in Japanese script 5,127 inscribed Munakta Shiko saku (made by Munakata Shiko), with two red seals, and signed Munakata Pariji
