the baluster circular body chased and engraved with flowers, foliage and diaper pattern, part ivory handle, the stand cast with leaf and shell motifs on scroll feet, engraved with the coat of arms, crest and motto of Knatchbull with dedicatory inscription dated 1849 to Sir Norton Joseph Knatchbull, fully marked, underside stamped Garrard Panton Steet London
