8vo (157 x 95 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a-y8: 176 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso. (Title-page slightly stained, a few small wormholes at end.)
binding: Contemporary Italian (Roman?) blind-tooled brown morocco (163 x 107 mm), title lettered along fore-edges, stubs from four pairs of ties. (Spine heavily restored, corners repaired, small wormhole in upper cover.)
provenance: Early note "a.38" written below device on title-page (a Roman bookseller's code?) — inscription on flyleaf dated Turin, 18-5-54. acquisition: Purchased from Sokol Books, London, 2000. references: UCLA 218; Cataldi Palau 86; Edit16 12668; Renouard 396/1
