oblong quarto (300 x 418mm.), engraved title-page, engraved dedication dated 17 May 1703, 103 numbered engraved plates in their second state (with numbering but without the publisher's name, plates 102-103 in first state), contemporary speckled calf, small holes in last few plates, rebacked retaining original spine, corners repaired
A fine and crisp set of plates depicting the churches, monuments and palazzi of Venice, which served as a model for the vedutisti of the later eighteenth century.
