Oblong 4to (220 x 295mm.), 24 hand-coloured aquatint plates by and after H. Füssli, L. Hess, F. Reinermann and others, contemporary green quarter morocco over marbled boards, gilt spine, morocco edge ribbons, and edges, some foxing to text and even browning to plates


BEAUTIFUL HAND-COLOURED VIEWS OF SWITZERLAND. Füssli spent much of his career teaching painting in England, where he was known as Henry Fuseli, and counted William Blake and John Constable among his pupils.

A German edition of this work was produced at roughly the same time.
