The Galet Classic, also known as the Tourbillon Double Spiral, was Laurent Ferrier’s first watch and embodies refined elegance. Upon release, it introduced the first one-minute tourbillon carriage with a double balance spring hidden behind the dial, offering remarkable precision and earning chronometer certification from the Besançon Observatory.
At Baselworld in 2013, the brand unveiled an updated tourbillon caliber, featuring the LF619.01, with an in-house escapement mechanism and gold components for optimal energy management. The redesigned geometry of the lever and escape wheel improved upon the Swiss lever system, enhancing efficiency by reducing angles and increasing impulse surfaces.
To celebrate the new caliber, the first 18 movements were housed in stainless steel cases with hand-engraved 18k gold dials, featuring a textured guilloché sunburst motif. We are proud to offer this present lot, numbered 1/18 indicating that it was the first one made, in overall very good condition accompanied by its original accessories.
