Showa period, 20th century
the long-sleeved robe in pink plain-weave silk, decorated in stencil dye (kata yuzen), embroidery in silk, silver and gold-wrapped silk threads. with ho-o birds and the silhouettes of a myriad cranes in flight, cream silk interior lining
