SPALDING BALL

Circa 1995

Sotheby’s is pleased to present this basketball, signed by every player who participated in the 1995 NBA All-Star Game, held in Phoenix, Arizona.

During the 1994–95 season, Scottie Pippen established himself as one of the league’s most complete players. With Michael Jordan returning late in the year, Pippen served as the Bulls’ primary two-way force for much of the season, contributing as a scorer, facilitator, and defensive anchor. He earned All-Star starter honors and ranked among the league leaders in minutes, rebounds, assists, and defensive impact, reflecting his central role on the team.

The game featured a remarkable collection of future Hall of Famers. Dominant big men like Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, Karl Malone, and David Robinson anchored the court, while standout guards and wings including Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, and John Stockton highlighted the league’s depth of talent.

This basketball was signed by Scottie Pippen, Penny Hardaway, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Grant Hill, Joe Dumars, Karl Malone, David Robinson, Shawn Kemp, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Stockton, Mitch Richmond, Gary Payton, Vin Baker, Dana Barros, Tyrone Hill, Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning, Latrell Sprewell, Dan Majerle, Cedric Ceballos, Dikembe Mutombo, and Detlef Schrempf. It comes directly from the Collection of Scottie Pippen.

The basketball is also accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signatures.
