CARDBOARD BOX SEALED IN PLEXI

1992

Featured in this lot is a Wheaties cereal box commemorating the Bulls’ 1992 NBA Championship and back-to-back titles, sealed in plexiglass and signed by Scottie Pippen. The box includes a plaque reading, “Scottie Pippen Chicago Bulls–Back-To-Back Congratulations on ‘Championship’ Effort.” Wheaties has long been a symbol of athletic achievement, reserved for champions whose accomplishments reached beyond the court.

After winning their first championship the year before, the Bulls returned in 1992 with the goal of proving it was no fluke. Facing a strong Portland Trail Blazers team in the Finals, Chicago prevailed in six games to secure its first back-to-back titles.

Pippen was central to the team’s success, averaging 20.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in the Finals. His all-around play helped Chicago control the series, while his defense disrupted Portland’s offense. This championship reinforced the Bulls’ dominance in the league and confirmed Pippen as one of the game’s most versatile and important players.

This item comes directly from the Collection of Scottie Pippen. The box is also accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signature.
