CARDBOARD BOX SEALED IN PLEXI

1993

Featured in this lot is a Wheaties cereal box commemorating the Bulls’ 1993 NBA Championship and three-peat, sealed in plexiglass and signed by Scottie Pippen. Wheaties has long been a symbol of athletic achievement, celebrating champions whose accomplishments reach beyond the game. To appear on the box was to be recognized as a sports icon, making these editions lasting reminders of their time.

The 1992–93 season ended with the Bulls claiming their first three-peat, facing a strong Phoenix Suns team led by league MVP Charles Barkley. The Finals were competitive, but the Bulls’ championship experience carried them through.

Pippen played a big role, averaging 21.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block per game in the series. His ability to guard multiple positions, run the offense, and make key plays was essential to Chicago’s success. With this victory, the Bulls became the first team in nearly three decades to win three straight championships, and Pippen was at the center of it all.

This item comes directly from the Collection of Scottie Pippen. The box is also accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signature.
