67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, a very different grape variety composition compared with the higher Cabernet Sauvignon content of recent years. In 2022 and from magnum, a gloriously scented, beguiling bouquet of great breed. This is a brilliantly balanced expression of a hot, early vintage. So silky textured and so utterly gulpable! The seductive fruit is underpinned by the structure of its great terroir, gliding over the palate with such authority and finesse. Undeniably Lafite and undeniably breathtaking. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
