An Important Medical Treatise, [France or Germany, 15th century]

This medical treatise includes quotes from Aristotle, Isaac Israeli and Avicenna (fol. 3r). Fols. 15r-17v contain a list of medical drugs and their applications. The margins contain a few glosses in a later hand, one of them mentioning Nathan ben Joel Falaquera (fol. 1r).

Physical Description

18 leaves on parchment, 8 ½ x 6 ¼ inches; 215 x 158 mm, written in Ashkenazic semi-cursive script in brown ink, underlining in red, 3 fold-out marginal extenders, modern foliation in ink; one original vellum flaw and 2 small tears with early sewn repairs affecting a few words, some soiling and staining, library stamps on first and last pages. Library buckram.
