Description
Château Mouton Rothschild 1989
Pauillac, 1er Cru Classé
u. vts, excellent appearance, tissue wrapped, label with one small scuff at top otherwise excellent; Excellente apparence, emballée dans du papier de soie, étiquette avec une petite éraflure en haut, autrement belle apparence
Label Artist: Georg Baselitz
Cabernet Sauvignon 78%, Cabernet Franc 14%, Merlot 8%. The Merlot was picked from 6 September and the Cabernet between 16 and 25 September, the earliest vintage at Mouton. In 2022, pure cassis impact and breed on the nose, with woodsmoke and cedar wood. Very fragrant and heathery. Immediate silky, caressing texture on the palate. Flavours of damsons and brambles. The magnums have a thicker feel in the mouth, but the sensual imprint is the same. Finishes on a mocha note, adding to its sheer drinkability and charm. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
