Watercolor and graphite sketch on paper (5 1/2 x 6 3/4 in.; 139 x 172 mm, sight), signed lower left. Matted, framed, and glazed. 

An autograph note signed by Shepard, 19 September 1968, explaining the genesis of the drawing is mounted to the back of the frame: "I hope you will like this sketch which I made for the coloured edition of the 'Christopher Robin book of Verse,' that your father published about 1967. This is a replica of the of the original drawing that I made at the time."
