Contemporary marbled calf, covers decoratively ruled in gilt, turn-ins guilt, marbled endpapers; re-backed with original spine laid down, spine flaking, further wear to extremities, corners renewed, inscription to free front endpaper. First edition of the poet's first book of poems, also containing the first published verses of Coleridge's lifelong friend Charles Lamb. Provenance: William H. Painter (booklabel front pastedown) — Poems, by S.T. Coleridge, Second Edition, to which are Now Added Poems by Charles Lamb and Charles Lloyd. London: N. Biggs, 1797.
