Consisting of early cuttings concerning the Pistols and a ‘poster’ for Anarchy in the UK using the Ray Stevenson photograph of the band in a telephone kiosk. The first of the press kits to be issued, it is complete with the rubber stamp of Malcolm McLaren, ‘Sex Pistols Sole representation and Management’ (the band signed a management contract with Mclaren’s company Glitterbest Ltd on 20 September 1976).

This and other similar press kits (see lot nos. 13, 24 and 27) were designed by Jamie Reid and compiled by him with Sophie Richmond who was Malcolm McLaren's secretary and oversaw the administrative and financial side of the Pistols. She was in a relationship with Jamie Reid through much of the 1970s.
