S oft, dynamic, and delicate, Tomoko Kashiki's With Benjamin and Wall depicts a pair of figures intertwined with cascading folds of fabrics. The work demonstrates Kashiki's mastery of the acrylic medium, creating fluidity and transparency through her signature style, imitating traditional Japanese ink paintings resembling Buddhist art during the Heian period and Bijinga. The suspended movement of intimacy seems to fade into the distance as if it is a fleeting memory or a fragment of a sensual daydream.

Born in Kyoto in 1982, Tomoko Kashiki obtained M.F.A. and PhD in Painting at the Graduate School of Kyoto City University of Arts. Known for her ability to create paintings resembling traditional Japanese ink works through acrylic, the artist often portrays dreamlike compositions that invite viewers into a suspended space of t.mes lessness. Through the recurring motif of a lone female figure featured in her oeuvre, Kashiki explores themes of femininity and intimacy. The artist participated in various group exhibitions across the globe, notably the "Takahashi collects ion: Mirror Neuron" held in Tokyo in 2015 and "the 7th Asia Pacific Triennale of Contemporary Art" held in Brisbane in 2012. Kashiki's lulling works are popular among public and private collects ions worldwide, including the Museum of Old and New Art, Australia, Toyota Art collects ion, Japan, and Uli Sigg collects ion.

(Museum of Old and New Art)藏品、豐田藝術典藏(Toyota Art collects ion) 及烏利・希克(私人)藏品(Uli Sigg collects ion)之列。
