Best Primark Perfume Dupes 2024 – 6 Scents That Are Affordable Alternatives To Your Designer Favourites

Worth the hype.

Fed up with splurging on designer perfumes? Primark has a seriously good collection of incredible fragrances that smell just like your favourite luxury scents. It feels like designer perfumes are just getting more and more expensive. Most of our favourite perfume brands will set you back around £100 a bottle and often more. At the rate I go through perfume, this really adds up. Should we really have to spend a fortune to smell nice though?

Time and time again we associate designer brands and hefty prices with quality, but this doesn’t always have to be the case, especially when it comes to fragrances. More and more high street brands are bringing out far cheaper perfumes and Primark is the one I’m watching of late. While we’re all familiar with the likes of M&S, Zara and H&M doing great affordable fragrances and offering dupes of our favourite designer brands at a fraction of the price, I wasn’t aware Primark was also involved in the action. That is until now.

So, I decided to do a deep dive and test some of their most popular fragrances to see how they compare to the designer brand counterparts. Interested? Keep scrolling for my favourite Primark fragrances that are dead ringers for some of our favourite designer fragrances. Next, check out the best Next perfume dupes and best Zara perfume dupes.

The first thing I noted when I smelled Wild Passion is that it’s a dead ringer for Victoria Secret’s Bombshell. With notes of peony combined with Madagascan vanilla and sunstruck pine, it’s not hard to see why the two are so similar. Both scents are clean, floral, and sweet, so if you’re looking to save yourself some cash, this is a great alternative.

Possibly one of the most coveted perfumes on the market, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 is a truly beautiful perfume. It’s described as having an amber floral and woody breeze and Taboo is a genuinely good alternative. For anyone who can’t quite justify £150 on a bottle of perfume, this is a super alternative that will have you smelling beautifully while keeping you on that all important budget. The best bit? It’s only 20ml, so perfect for even the smallest of handbags.

There has been so many different iterations and dupes of Mugler’s Alien but I’m happy to report this is one of the best that I have tried. This dupe, like all dupes, won’t be as long-lasting as the original, but when you’re making a saving like this, what’s an extra spritz or two a day? Consider me converted.
