We move into the afternoon with John Constable’s ‘Study for the White Horse’. This highly important sketch is an early preparatory study for one of the artist’s most celebrated works. We end the day at sunset and J.M.W. Turner’s ‘Landscape With Walton Bridges’. One of around 10 paintings painted in the last 10 years of his life, this is considered one of Turner’s most significant artistic achievements.
