Have you noticed Tabi’s absolutely everywhere lately? SAME. The cult shoes were named the hottest product of Q3 in The Lyst Index last year and they make a regular appearance on RHOC, a hilarious meme account dedicated to the people of East London.

But while there’s no denying their popularity, they aren’t exactly affordable. A pair of split-toe Tabi boots from Margiela are £990, the patent collapsable-heel loafers are £890 and a pair of split-toe ballet flats from the designer will set you back £650. At a time when people are struggling with the rising cost of living, every penny counts.

You can still get the look, even if you don’t have hundreds to play with. As with many of the world’s most popular designer pieces, there are plenty of affordable shoes that have been inspired by Tabi’s. If you can’t be bothered to do the digging, you’re in luck as I can.
