According to the global search platform Lyst, demand for cut out dresses has tripled compared to last year.

We’ve seen this trend time and time again, most notably on the AW21 runway, with designers such as Givenchy, David Koma, Temperley, Halpern, Off-White and Emilia Wickstead embracing gowns with slices missing from the sides, backs and shoulders of the garment to reveal a hint of skin.

It didn’t take long for stars to follow suit, with Hailey Bieber, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kim Kardashian embracing the trend wholeheartedly.

The cut out dress is once again back to the forefront making it the perfect choice for the summer months, it’s versatility means it can be worn both day-to-day and to pretty much any occasion you can think of.
