Every year, I make the same New Year’s resolution: I’ll stop wasting my money on clothes I won’t get enough wear out of and save more instead. One of the ways I’ve managed it this year is by renting out clothes as and when I need to rather than shelling out for new items unnecessarily.

It’s so tempting to shop more than we really need to, but with the rise of clothing rental sites, there’s never been a better time to try it out.

Then there’s By Rotation, an easy-to-use app that I personally rent my clothes out on. They have occasion edits to help you find what you’re looking for and it’s one of the more affordable options I’ve tried.

Renting clothes is perfect for one-off events, when you need a fancy dress but don’t want to waste precious wardrobe space on a tulle dress that you’ll only wear once.
