M&S has regular sales throughout the year so if you’re wondering when the next promo is set to start, I’m sharing everything you need to know about the expected sale dates for 2024. Whether you shop at M&S for staples (the lingerie section is incredible) or super stylish new-in pieces, it’s a go-to for many of us – but the sales for ladies fashion really are something else. M&S (known as Marks Spencer) is surprisingly generous with its discounts, meaning you can find some real long-lasting and versatile pieces to add to your capsule wardrobe during the promo periods.

It has its own brands, like M&S Collection, Autograph and Per Una, but there are so many other brands that M&S carries such as Fat Face, Ghost, Albaray, Alo Yoga, Dune, Jaeger and many more. When does the next M&S sale start in 2024?

The M&S summer sale has ended, but you can still enjoy up to 40% off on a range of brands right now. The next major M&S sale is expected in mid-September for the autumn sale, where we anticipate up to 50% off on over 1,000 womenswear pieces from brands such as M&S Collection, Nobody’s Child, Autograph, Jaeger, and Ghost. This sale will cover all categories, including ladies’, men’s, kids’, and homeware, with savings of up to 50%. Additionally, M&S offers frequent beauty promotions throughout the year.

Like other brands, M&S has seasonal sales, usually during summer, autumn, and Christmas. Summer sales are around mid-July to early August, followed by autumn sales in mid-September to early October. As for the Boxing Day sale, this kicks off in December. Make sure you keep tabs on these dates and sign up for the brand’s newsletter to get first dibs when sales drop.

During the sale period, the brand has previously discounted around 3,000 items available at up to 50% off. As well as M&S’ in-house brands, you can usually shop discounted pieces from names like HOBBS, Veja, Monsoon, French Connection, Dune, Joules, Nobody’s Child, and many more online only.

M&S expected sale dates for 2024

January sale: The January sale began around Christmas in 2023 and continued throughout January 2024.

Spring sale: The mid-season sale kicked off in March 2024. There are over 1,300 womenswear pieces to choose from in the sale, as well as offers on menswear, kidswear, and home pieces.

Summer sale: The M&S summer sale started in mid-July.

Black Friday: M&S doesn’t hold an official Black Friday sale, but they do have offers and promotions during the sales period.

Christmas: We’re expecting M&S to hold a Boxing Day sale from December 26th, 2024.

How big are the discounts during the sales?

M&S is also quite generous when it comes to discounts. The last major sale saw prices slashed by up to 50%, so you can expect other sales to be in that range too. M&S also offers regular 20% discounts and offers like 2 for 1, so it’s a good idea to keep your eyes peeled for this. When will the M&S sale end?

M&S sales usually last for around 4 weeks, or until stocks last. If you see an item you love, I recommend buying quickly to avoid disappointment!
