Every year we get excited about Milan Fashion Week, but when is it taking place in 2024?

Milan is one of the world’s biggest fashion destinations and for good reason. The Italian city sees some of the best designers on the planet presenting their stunning seasonal collections at Milan Fashion Week, including Prada, Maxmara, Moschino and Gucci.

During the pandemic, fashion week became a digital-only event but in 2022 the fashion capital of Italy finally opened its runways for physical shows. And this year, it’s another mix of physical and digital events.

When is Milan Fashion Week 2024?

MFW will take place from 20 to 26 of February this year, with Autumn/Winter collections being showcased.

Right now there’s no official programme detailing the complete list of locations for Milan Fashion Week. We’ll keep you posted once there’s an official schedule for February’s shows and events.

The next fashion week will be in September when designers will be presenting their Spring/Summer collections.

How to watch Milan Fashion Week

Even with the return of physical shows, it’s expected that you’ll be able to watch Milan Fashion Week live via the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) website this February.

2020 was the first time the CNMI streamed Milan Fashion Week, with its president Carlo Capasa then explaining in a statement: “For the first time in its history, CNMI is experimenting with a highly innovative formula through a live, digital platform. It’s an ultra-inspiring tool, designed to support rather than replace the physical fashion calendar, which will resume in September and will remain vital in promoting ‘Made in Italy’ and the value of its manufacturing prowess.”

Where do celebrities stay in Milan for Fashion Week?

Celebrities at Milan Fashion Week flock to palatial hotels like Palazzo Parigi and Principe di Savoia, while others choose chic boutiques like Senato or private rentals for a more secluded stay.

Can you buy tickets for Milan Fashion Week 2024?

MFW is an exclusive event. To get your hands on tickets for the catwalk shows, you must be part of the fashion industry or personally invited by one of the designers.

But if you really want to try, you must first register as a buyer or press member of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
