Lidl has a great selection of perfumes and what’s more, some of them smell just like your favourite designer brands. So, if you’re on the hunt for a new fragrance, you’re in luck as I’ve done a deep dive into Lidl’s best dupes. Lidl’s latest perfume range Suddenly Fragrances has some of the best dupes on the market and they’ve been likened to luxury designer brands like Chloé, Chanel and Dior, just to name a few.

We all know perfume isn’t cheap, so if there’s is a way to smell just as good on a budget, you better believe we’re all over it. While it’s hard not to associate designer brands and high prices with quality, it doesn’t always have to be the case when it comes to fragrance. Zara and H&M have long been known as having some of the best dupes on the market, and now Lidl is joining the party.

I also want to point out that these Lidl perfumes smell great in the own rite. Without being a dupe of my favourite fragrances, I still would be a fan of these. But the fact that they do rival the designer brands at a fraction of the cost is the icing on the cake.

Just remember you need to be quick to get your hands on Lidl’s perfumes when they drop because they always sell out. The best way to get your hands on them is in-store as they have the full collection on offer there, but you can try the website which have a smaller offering and if you’re too late to the party, give eBay a try as there’s always some available there but at a slightly higher cost.

How long do Lidl perfumes last?

As you’d expect at such cheap prices, Lidl perfumes don’t last quite as long as their designer equivalents. While expensive perfumes can last all day, Lidl perfumes tend to last just a couple of hours at worst and up to five hours at best. That was certainly my experience. I tried Lidl’s Chalou, which is a dupe for Chloé’s For Her. It smelled undeniably delicious and really reminded me of the designer counterpart, but when I tried it, it lasted around three hours before I couldn’t notice the smell anymore. At such a cheap price though, it isn’t really surprising. It’s up to you whether that’s a dealbreaker, but for me it wasn’t.

At £89 a bottle, Coco Mademoiselle doesn’t come cheap, but can this Lidl version actually be an alternative? Coco Mademoiselle and Lidl’s Madame share a great deal of the same ingredients including, orange, bergamot, grapefruit, rose extract, jasmine extract, vanilla, and white musk. I must say, I was impressed with this one. Like all other dupe fragrances, you may have to apply the fragrance a little more often but that’s a small price to pay when you’re saving so much money!

Lidl’s Deep has the same aromatic-woody fragrance as Chanel’s version, and this one is a true find in my opinion. Stock up when you next see it in store is all I’ll say.
