Jeans Trend 1: Puddle pants

Extra long and extra wide leg jeans that are so long they actually pool around the ankles and even drag on the floor are in amongst a resurgence of Y2K-inspired denim looks.  Short girls rejoice, as you will no longer need to take up your jeans with this trend. While I wouldn’t recommend wearing them on rainy days, these are a cool girl look that can be worn with trainers for an off-duty look or glammed up with a high heel or boot for something more sophisticated.

Jeans Trend 2: 50 Shades of Grey

While everyone will have a pair of blue and black jeans in their wardrobe, grey is typically overlooked. 2024 has other plans. We’re seeing a huge resurgence of the colour after it appeared on the SS24 runways at Diesel and Dior. Grey jeans are so versatile you’ll find you already have so much in your wardrobe to pair them with.

Jeans Trend 3: Barrel Leg

The barrel leg silhouette, also known as balloon or tapered, is my favourite of the new jeans trends for 2024. The unconventional curved shape pioneered by the likes of Totême and Frame features a wide leg that tapers in towards the ankle for that perfect relaxed yet sophisticated look. They work perfectly with both heels or flats and usually feature a high waist which in my opinion is a necessity for any jeans of mine.

Jeans Trend 4: Metallics

Metallics are going absolutely nowhere in 2024, topping every trend list of the moment including jeans. Silver jeans are surprisingly very easy to wear; I bought a pair last year and have not looked back since. They’re great when you want to jazz up an outfit but stay comfy.
